4 ProCare Rate Approvals
A special mailing regarding ProCare Medicare Supplement rates for new business and renewals has been mailed to General Agents in Colorado in Georgia.

Effective with Medicare rate increases implemented in Georgia, there is no discount for Bank Draft customers on any mode. Additionally, existing customers who are currently paying $3 and $5 for the ACF Partners program will be converted to the $6.95 program at a later date.

Check your state(s) ProCare rate memo for complete effective date information and cut-off dates for business written with old rates. If you did not receive this notice, please contact the Agent Service Center at 800-925-7355.

4 Good News!
Effective immediately, Agents in California, Delaware, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio and Wyoming will be selling Attained Age rates on ProCare Plans B, C, and D. Plans A, F, and G will remain issue age rates in these states. For Agents working in Virginia, ProCare plans A, F, and G will be switching to Issue Age. United American offers choices of premium structures on selected Medicare Supplement plans in order to give Agents more flexibility and clients more choices. Updated supplies have been sent. Attn: All Agents
Beginning September 1, 2003, a federal Do Not Call registry will take effect. Consumers who do not wish to receive telemarketing calls can place their phone numbers on the list in order to avoid being contacted. The registry is nationwide in scope, includes all telemarketers, and covers both interstate and intrastate telemarketing calls. The national registry will be administered and enforced by both the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The staff of United American is aware of this registry and rules which govern its enforcement. An article articulating UA’s policies and procedures in regard to the federal Do Not Call registry will appear in the next issue of UA News.

4 Attn: NC Agents
United American’s Critical Illness product, HealthGuard, is now available to Agents working in North Carolina. Supplies have been sent.
